The San Juan Outdoor School offers three-day Kid's Camps every week throughout the summer. These multi-element excursions run Monday-Wednesday and provide your child(ren) with the opportunity to experience the best Telluride has to offer. They will meet other children and learn to work and play together in multi-age groups. Camps include one day of rock climbing, one day of outdoor games and arts exploration and one day nature hiking. Sign up early, as these programs tend to fill quickly! We accept children ages 5 and up for these programs. Transportation and lunch are provided. Thursday Kids' Climb: Half-Day Trip
$85.00 per child
On Thursdays, the San Juan Outdoor School hosts a Half-day Kids' Climbing Camp. This short session will give your child the chance to rock climb with other children and still be home in time for lunch and afternoon activities. Offered at a special rate of $85 per child (a 25% discount below our regular rates), this half-day adventure is sure to be a winner with your child and your pocketbook.  Teen Climbing Clinic

The San Juan Outdoor School’s Teen Clinic is for young adults ages 14 to 17 that have a serious interest in learning about the fundamentals of climbing to more advanced techniques. We believe that a strong base in the fundamentals is critical. Our instructors are seasoned professional instructor/ guides that enjoy working with young adults. If your teen son or daughter is interested in climbing as a lifetime sport this is for you. Our goal is to support young climbers so that they can learn proper techniques and build a strong skill level. Teen Mountaineering Camps
3-Day Camps: $450.00 per teenager Every Week: Monday-Wednesday
5-Day Camps: $600.00 per teenager Every Week: Monday-Friday
Our three and five day Teen Mountaineering Camps are designed to provide your teenager with an opportunity to gain the skills necessary to travel safely in the mountains. They'll learn the fundamentals of moving through mountain terrain, how to use technical mountaineering equipment including ropes and belay techniques, and how to travel safely across snow using ice axes and/or crampons. Our Kids' Snowshoe Adventures specialize in sledding, snowman-building and hot cocoa drinking. Your children will have the chance to explore Telluride's most beautiful places with our experienced and fun guides. Plan a winter adventure for the young people in your family in which they can learn about cultural and natural history, leadership, teamwork and personal growth through fun activities and games. These trips are designed to give kids an experience with the natural world they will never forget. Transportation and lunch are provided.
